Problem:
My earlier solution at providing
cockpit storage had worked very well but for one inconvenience
discovered when Jen started joining me in Lazy Ka. The file box was taking
up a bit too much space in the cockpit. This wasn't a problem when I was by
myself, but add another pair of feet, and things start to get a wee bit
cramped.
Solution:
My solution was to construct a small Lazerette in the rear of the cockpit that could be removed
when additional leg-room is needed. Gear is kept in a small barrel-bag
(blue); the bag and lazerette can pulled and stowed in the cabin in seconds.
The pictures here tell whole story. This was another quick project,
complicated in less than four hours total . . . I like quick projects.
