Projects that make life aboard easier!

"Lazy Ka" came to me with no Name, but lots of additions and upgrades made by former owners. The original list included:
  • 5 sails: 2 mainsails (with 2reef points); 2 Jibs (1 red, 1 white); 1 Lapper.
  • 2 roller furlers (Harkens Small Boat Furlers)
  • Lights: running light, anchor light, and cabin light
  • Battery and fuse bank (These are automobile components; subject to potential corrosion when exposed to marine conditions. I will be rewiring all circuits this winter (Feb 2006)
  • Electric bilge pump
  • Foam cockpit cushions
  • Lazy-jack
  • and more . . .

It didn't take long to come to the conclusion that each sailboat takes on much of the personality of the owner; each vessel becomes quickly customized to suit the individual sailor's specific needs. And I'm no exception.
