Liner Notes:

Jazz Trac Four was recorded on April 6, 1963. This album was recorded in four hours in which we used eight of the 20 takes made at this recording session.

We are especially proud of the great performances turned in by Shirley Rogers, Piano and Student Leader; Chris Poehler, Bass; Jim Dukey, Alto Saxophone; Kerry Patterson, Tenor Saxophone; Brenda Kann and Cheri Pratt, Flute; Ken Heiges, Vibraphone; Mark Kimble, Trombone; Ron Rose and Carl Leach, Jr., Trumpet; and Chuck Manzer, Drums.

Jazz Trac Four is high school jazz at its best. The solos are all spontaneous, and purely creative. Jazz Trac Four is for you from 18 enthusiastic young musicians . . . We hope you will share in their enthusiasm.
