An Evening
With The Kingston Trio

Joe Gannon (Road Manager):

Joe Gannon, newest member of the Kingston trio family, serves as Frank Werber's assistant and their road manager. This simple sounding title, which involves the complete coordination of all of the on-the-road activities, requires the talents of a many faceted person. Joe must be not only a meticulous organizer and planner, creative producer, have an adding machine mind, but must also serve as den mother, healer and wet nurse.

A native of Philadelphia, Gannon received his BS degree at Menlo College and it was here that he met and became friends with Nick and Bob. Before joining The Kingston Trio organization, Joe put in his time an a junior executive with a national cereal company, and in his spare time managed to build a night club or two of his own which he has since sold.

Joe first met his wife Barbara, in 1957 and married her soon thereafter. Since then, they have added three children to the family: Teresa (nicknamed Che Che), Cathy and Patrick. Since this job keeps him "on the road" a great deal, Joe's greatest pleasure in life come from spending time in his Mill Valley hillside home with his wife and children, with an occasional game of golf thrown in to keep the bones from setting up.
